The hours are great, allowing most nurses aids to work either part or full time shift work.  The majority of work encompass working the day shift, evening shift, and/or the night shift.  Often, nurses aids are required to be available to work all of these shifts, but as you progress in your certified nursing assistant career, you are able to be more picky. 

You can then choose which full time positions you want to apply for in order to have a more stable, and satisfactory working schedule.  Often, these promotions to full time positions are based on experience, and education, so it is always good to make sure that you take extra classes specializing in extra nursing oriented work when you can.  Generally, nursing assistants are under the authority of a registered nurse, or Director of Care, and/or a doctor in whatever facility they work in.
